Freelance web designer

Hiring a freelance web designer starts with a clear assignment, not a list of favorite websites. We discuss what your current site lacks, who you want to reach, and what visitors should be able to do. The work could cover a focused landing page, a redesign, or a new website. We review existing content and technology before deciding what you need.

Seppe remains your point of contact for design and development. We agree on what you provide, who collects feedback, and which decisions come first. If additional expertise is needed, we explain the team's role in advance. You know how the collaboration works and where the assignment ends.

A design is easier to assess when you know what belongs on the page. At the start, we create a short content checklist for each page type. A service page might need an explanation of your offer and a relevant example of your work. You do not need a finished document: we explain which rough material is enough and which decisions still need your input.

We agree on who reviews the copy and which photos you have permission to use. Missing material is flagged early so it does not become a surprise just before launch. If you need help with website copywriting, we plan that before the design review. We also assess images for cropping and mobile use, not just how good the original looks.

You do not need design terminology to review our work. We show how the main page explains your offer and where visitors can go next. We ask focused questions: does the order make sense, is information missing, and does the look fit your business? Real copy and images make those decisions easier than a screen filled with temporary placeholder content.

We use shared previews and collect comments by version. You consolidate feedback from your business; we discuss conflicting choices before continuing development. New requests are identified as changes to the assignment. Our approach follows the principles on our web design page, with room to retain your existing brand guidelines.

Your design does not stop at a file someone else still needs to interpret. Seppe designs and builds the frontend, so we test choices against what works in the browser immediately. We assess menus, animations, and unusual layouts for usability, speed, and technical feasibility. The team can support the work where needed while your point of contact stays the same. Our own website is an example: we designed and built it, and the Straffe Sites case study shows its monthly measurements.

We share work in progress and check the agreed pages with real content. Responsive web design and keyboard access are part of development. If your site needs an external integration, we investigate it separately before promising how it will work. You know what belongs to design and what requires additional development.

After handoff, you should know what you can change yourself and when you need help. We choose the content setup around your everyday work. If you regularly publish services or articles, we discuss a CMS. If the website rarely changes, it does not automatically need an extensive management system. How often you edit matters more than a long feature list.

We walk you through making a real change and explain how to access the site and publish updates. We make separate arrangements for technical updates, new features, and website maintenance. The setup should remain understandable if someone else takes over later, too. We document important choices and identify the external services connected to the website.

A freelance web designer makes sense when you want one experienced professional to discuss ideas with and the assignment is manageable through direct contact. At Straffe Sites, we combine that contact with team support where needed. We bring together web design, frontend development, technical SEO, and content structure. For expertise outside that core, we discuss which specialist is needed and who takes responsibility. If you already have a design and mainly need code, a freelance web developer may fit better.

A larger agency may be better when many disciplines must work simultaneously or daily campaign production needs more staff. We do not pretend every assignment fits our approach. Bring your planned pages, current site, and collaboration expectations; we use those to assess whether a focused project with us can support your plans.
