Get cited in AI answers

More and more customers ask ChatGPT or Google AI for advice instead of clicking through results. GEO makes your website a source those assistants cite. We know it works because we ran it on ourselves first: our GEO audit went from 68 to 86 out of 100 in two weeks (August–September 2026).

Visible where customers get AI answers.

GEO is not a replacement for SEO but a second visibility layer: building technique and content so generative engines use your site as a source. We measure first, improve next, and re-measure after thirty days.

What a GEO engagement delivers

The approach is the same one we run on our own site: measure, improve with focus, and measure again after thirty days. These three steps always come back.

Measure before you build

An audit across four pillars: evidence density, structure, authority, and AI readability. You see where you stand and where the leverage is.

Fixes AI engines understand

Figures with sources and dates, answer structures machines can parse, an entity chain that confirms your business, and a robots policy that deliberately admits AI crawlers.

Re-measure after thirty days

GSC data and a second audit round show what the improvements did. No gimmicks with daily numbers: fixed comparison moments.

How we make your site citation-ready

GEO is not a switch but a layer over your existing website. We walk through these six parts in a fixed order, with your team deciding on content and claims.

What AI engines remember

Assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews build answers from sources they select themselves on relevance and trustworthiness. They read your page differently than a human: headings, lists, tables, and the opening paragraphs carry the most weight. A page that hides its main answer at the bottom gets cited less often than a page that answers immediately.

So we look at each page to see which question it truly answers, and whether that answer surfaces without clicking or scrolling. That is also why a SERP looks different from an AI answer: the first rewards clickability, the second rewards citability. Both call for their own build of the same content.

Figures that get cited

Generative engines prefer figures with a source and a date. "We are fast" gets skipped; "99/100 mobile Performance, measured September 15, 2026" can be quoted and checked. In our own GEO audit, evidence density was the pillar with the largest gain: from 18 to 28 out of 35 points by consistently adding figures, units, and dates.

We inventory which facts you can back up — measurements, timelines, recurring key numbers — and where they belong. What you cannot back up, we phrase honestly as an assumption. An assistant that notices a contradiction prefers to skip your source altogether.

Your business as an entity

An AI assistant should not just read your page; it should know who stands behind it. For that, we confirm your business as an entity: a consistent name and details on your own site, linked to verifiable mentions elsewhere — industry registers, review profiles, and a coherent structured data layer. Our own entity chain grew in 2026 from one to three external mentions that link back to the site.

This is multi-round work: creating profiles, aligning details everywhere, and confirming the links on the site itself. We prepare the steps and run them with you; what you want to confirm publicly stays your call.

Answers machines can read

The technical layer decides whether an assistant can parse your content. Semantic HTML, one clear question per section, a logical heading hierarchy, and metadata without contradictions make a page machine-readable. Outdated material works against you too: an old page answering the same question differently lowers trust in both.

We check what a crawler sees on every route, from the robots file and sitemap to the rendered headings and SEO signals. Where the build gets in the way, we rework the page's structure — not your brand voice. The content stays yours; the presentation becomes citable.

What we measure

Every GEO round starts and ends with measurement. The audit yields the score across four pillars; Google Search Console additionally shows how your classic visibility moves, because GEO must not damage SEO. We also verify that the relevant AI crawlers can actually read your site: in our own audit, all seven known assistant bots turned out reachable and welcome.

We repeat these measurements at fixed intervals of at least thirty days. That shows trend against noise: one day of numbers says nothing, a full cycle shows where you stand and what the next lever is.

Maintenance after round one

AI assistants re-read sources and reweigh answers: what gets cited today can go quiet next month when a competitor publishes a stronger source. GEO is therefore not a project with an end date but a maintenance rhythm: posting new figures, updating dated claims, extending the entity chain.

Part of that rhythm can be automated: specialized AI agent workflows prepare measurements, checkpoints, and draft updates, while every content decision stays with your team. That keeps the workload manageable without letting citability fade. Read more about that way of working at AI & automation.

First and foremost, Seppe is a wonderful person to work with. But he also knows exactly what he is talking about and is not only a good web designer — he also understands the marketing principles that make a website convert. The fact that he truly makes time to listen and exchange ideas makes him a very valuable partner to work with.

5 out of 5 stars on Google

Two years ago I started looking for someone who could help me with a website that scored well. In terms of approach, Seppe immediately made a good impression on me; he is patient (which I definitely need), professional, and transparent. You can always reach out to him with questions and he charges fair prices. Shortly after we first got in touch he launched a new website that I am very happy with, and he manages the SEO and SEA features to the best of his ability. As a proud ambassador of Straffe Sites, I look to the future with confidence!

Frequently asked questions

Straightforward answers before you decide whether this service fits your business.

What is the difference between GEO and SEO?

SEO targets your position in the classic results list; GEO targets being cited in answers from AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. The foundations overlap — speed, structure, clear content, authority — but the task differs: an assistant reads your page and picks its own sources. We combine both layers without confusing them.

What does a GEO audit deliver, concretely?

You get a score across four pillars — evidence density, structure, authority, and AI readability — with per pillar what is missing and which fix has the most leverage. On our own site, the first round moved the score from 68 to 86 out of 100, mostly by adding figures with sources and dates, a stronger entity chain, and a robots policy that deliberately admits AI crawlers.

Do you guarantee that ChatGPT will mention me?

No. AI assistants choose their own sources, and nobody can buy or promise a spot in an answer. What we do guarantee is a verifiable approach: a baseline measurement, targeted improvements, and a re-measurement so you see what it actually did.

Can you make my existing website GEO-ready?

In most cases, yes. The audit starts from your current site: which figures and sources are missing, how your metadata and structure look, and how AI crawlers read your robots policy. Only when the technology structurally gets in the way do we explain why, and what a rebuild would deliver.

How quickly do you see results?

Technical fixes such as the robots policy and structure land quickly. When assistants pick them up follows their own cadence: sources get re-read and answers adjusted over weeks. That is why we work with a baseline and a re-measurement after at least thirty days, not daily check-ins.
